My expat journey

Papeete, Îles du Vent, French Polynesia
Permanent resident in Tahiti since 2018
Retired Police
It is here in Polynesia that I ended up finding my little paradise. The calm and gentleness of the people here make me forget that I lived in the mainland. There is an atmosphere and quality of life here that I don't feel anywhere else. When you live in Polynesia you have to visit the neighboring islands, like the nearest Moorea, accessible by ferry in 20 minutes. The other islands and atolls of the Tuamotu are breathtakingly beautiful and the real Polynesia for my part is found in these places.

Amphoe Mueang Krabi, Krabi, Thailand
In expatriate mode for 3 beautiful years, but I came back home to Marseille to escape the monsoon which lasts 5 months, while at the same time in France it is spring and summer.
So I lived there 7 months out of 12 for 3 magnificent and unforgettable years.
Thai culture, Buddhist temples, Thai cuisine, beaches, sea fishing trips with my friends.
The sweetness of life.
Landscapes and beaches.
The islands of Koh Poda, Koh Lanta, Koh Phi Phi, Koh Samui and Bangkok are a sprawling and magical city in every way.
Road traffic insecurity, traveling in this country on a motorbike is like playing Russian roulette

Marrakech, Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz, Morocco
In traveling traveler mode with my camper van and my motorcycle trailer for some 5 months a year fleeing the monsoon of KRABI in THAILAND where I was expatriated for 3 years, waiting to return each year in October.

The kindness of Moroccans.
The magnificent landscapes.
The extreme south of Morocco where mass tourism no longer exists.
The Atlas and its magnificent mountains.
The magic of the desert in the dunes of Ouarzazate and the Chegaga desert
Some French motorhome owners in Morocco with their settler mentality.

ESSAOUIRA, Morocco
Morocco traveled in itinerant traveler mode in a camper van with my motorcycle trailer attached to pursue Moroccan tracks by motorbike where my camper van could not progress...
