About
My expat journey

Bangalore, India
Good climate, most of the people are speaking english, good schools, more friendly people
Traffic is not the best, but still way better than Mumbai's. People are staring here too, but atleast with a kind smile (not with a suspicious one, than they do in Delhi).

New Delhi, India
More greenery, not that crowded, wide product range, good schools.
Not safe; a lot of rude, misbehaving people; late opening and early closing time; terrible climate; and though I didn't expect this from the capital, but people are shamelessly staring and pointing with fingers at foreigners.

Mumbai, India
Good climate, mostly well-behaved people, safety
Crowd, dust, non-stop traffic jams, too open culture

Budapest, Hungary
Gone to college in Budapest, then my job kept me there.
I can reach anything by public transport without much walking, liked it's tourist spots, good social life
Bit fast city for a girl from a small town, bit costly, at that time I found it crowded - though it's nowhere to India's crowd

Baja, Hungary
Beautiful, clean, slow, peaceful city with natural beauty, I can reach anything within 15-30 minutes, everything available one may need

Moving to Bangalore with Infant by carmen_elena
Hi! I'm moving to Bangalore for 3 months from Vancouver at the end of August with my husband and my 5 month old son. Looking to see if there are any moms out there who'd be looking to meet up. Cheers, Carmen.
Mosquito repellent cream is available here too, we use Odomos for the kids, it has a nice fragrance also, you can find it in any pharmacy. For the night you can find mosquito net too, that you can fix above the bed. Read More

My maid doesn't speak English, I mean, she understands very basic instructions, and anyway once you tell or show her what she is supposed to do, no much communication is required. Even if it's a babysitter, I would be quite happy if she speaks to my ... Read More
