I have been retired for 2 years and settled in Türkiye for 6 months. I have known this country since the age of 18 and although I do not feel foreign, the lack of contact with my language and my culture is starting to become "heavy to bear". Turkish people are very welcoming people, but living alone and not being connected to anyone in particular makes the feeling of isolation even more acute. This is why I am looking for French people who, like me, are expatriates in Türkiye and with whom I can converse, or even make friends.

Thonon-les-Bains, Rhône-Alpes, France
I will gradually return to live in France, my ikâmet is valid until June 2018 and I will then move to Thonon, a pleasant little town on the shores of Lake Geneva. I would like to sell my apartment in Didim by then, but it's not a given...
