Job Overview:
We are seeking a part-time Personal Assistant (PA) in Calpe, Spain, to assist with various personal, home and administrative tasks supporting a foreign expat entrepreneur and their partner living locally. The ideal candidate should be a local resident who lives in or close to Calpe, with prior experience in similar roles and strong knowledge of local government administrative processes. Ideally, the applicant will have worked as or supported others who are registered as autónomo in Spain. This role is perfect for someone looking for flexible, part-time work with varied responsibilities, and may grow into a more involved role.
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative Assistance: Handle government paperwork, local government processes, and basic administrative tasks on behalf of the client.
Consultant Liaison: Work with gestores/accountants, lawyers and other consultants to coordinate communication, project management and document signing for immigration, tax and business transactions.
Business Liaison: Collaborate with Executive assistants and other employed staff in alternate timezones (APAC/USA), where matters involve other entities or countries.
Mail & Deliveries: Receive, send, and manage packages/deliveries, mail, and meeting couriers as well as handling returns of goods.
Errands & Shopping: Collect and deliver groceries, documents, and other essential household items.
Payments & Purchases: Make necessary transactions, including cash handling and shopping when needed.
Household Support: Oversee home-related tasks, such as arranging household services (e.g., cleaners, maintenance), coordinate repairs with local contractors, and assist with light property management tasks.
Arranging Local Services or events: Find, book, and liaise with local restaurants/contractors/service providers as required.
General Assistance: Handle ad-hoc errands and occasional short-notice tasks.
Requirements: Must be a local resident, lives in or around Calpe as some tasks will be in person.
Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
Strong knowledge of local government processes in Spain.
Own transportation (motorbike is ok but access to a car is needed).
Comfortable handling cash payments and shopping independently.
Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Digitally-savvy (we use online systems and communicate with remote team)
Flexibility to manage tasks on short notice or after business hours from time to time.
Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet.
Compensation & Hours:
Part-time role with flexible hours. Expected 3-5hrs/week minimum and may increase.
Hourly rate: €20/hour, negotiable depending on experience.
