Join us for a session of journal decorating and arts making with guests Sally and Wang KaiXin! Bring a journal and yourself, and we will provide the necessary materials, such as washi tape, pens, markers, and other craft supplies.
Attendees who share our event or Captivating’s page on social media will be entered into a raffle held at the end of the event.
We recommend purchasing an item from Lingers as a courtesy to our treasured venue provider.
All proceeds will go toward Captivating’s “Educate Girls” campaign to help sponsor girls in Qinghai to continue their education.

About The Guests:
Sally has been journaling since 2016. At one point, to design her journal, she read almost all the books related to journaling on the market; she has also went to Japan to investigate the journaling culture there. In order to practice her lines, she drew more than 600 hand-drawn manuscripts, and to help her memorization, she made more than 150 small videos. She has a visual recorder qualification and has learned the PDCA theory of coaching.
Wang KaiXin has a masters degree in art from Shenzhen University, specializing in oil painting. She was also once an art teacher. Inspired by life, she likes to create handmade crafts. During the event, she can help with color coordination, journal layouts, drawings, and more.
About The Venue:
Born in the wild, and settling among the vicinage. Lingers is an aesthetic living space that promotes the concept of slow life in a fast-paced urban environment. We offer magazines, books, coffee, creative production, event planning, and venue services.

About the Organizers:
Becky: Becky is a third-year undergraduate at Stanford University. She is interested in the performing arts and loves to eat snacks. She looks forward to seeing you all at the event and the work everyone creates!
Lily: Currently an undergraduate senior at Stanford University, Lily obsesses over stationary, loves to explore Shenzhen, and is an absolute foodie. She’s excited to meet everyone and journal together!
