Renovating Properties in Central Portugal – With Confidence

Central Portugal Builders helps English-speaking property owners renovate existing homes in Portugal, providing practical advice, technical expertise and a managed renovation service.

We understand that buying and renovating a property in another country can be challenging. Portuguese construction methods, building regulations and ways of working may be unfamiliar, particularly when renovating older properties. Our aim is to bridge that gap, helping clients understand their options and make informed decisions throughout the process.

Technical expertise you can rely on

Our English and Portuguese management team works alongside Pedro Santos, a qualified Técnico de Construção Civil with more than 25 years of construction experience. He provides technical advice, oversees our employees' work and helps clients understand the practical considerations involved in renovating Portuguese properties.

Where appropriate, we can also provide a Property and Land Technical Check to help clients assess a property before committing to a purchase or planning renovation work.

A renovation service tailored to you

We undertake a wide range of renovation projects, from modernising individual rooms and improving existing homes to comprehensive property renovations. We can also arrange specialist services such as central heating, heat pumps, solar hot water systems and double glazing through trusted professionals.

We use our own employees for most work and coordinate specialist trades where required, managing the project to provide a more straightforward experience for the client.

Whether you want to manage some of the work yourself or prefer a more complete, turnkey renovation, we can discuss an approach that suits your property, priorities and budget.

Local knowledge, clear communication

Our business began in 2007, and we understand the challenges faced by people moving to Portugal and renovating a home in unfamiliar surroundings. We work throughout Central Portugal, helping clients turn their plans for a Portuguese home into reality.

If you are considering buying a property that needs work, or are ready to renovate a home you already own, contact us to discuss your project.
