Tourister

Tourister is a tour operator in Baku whose trips range from a short stroll through the old town to a summit climb.

Baku itself: the Old City and Nizami Street on foot, the Ateshgah fire temple, the Bibi-Heybat oil fields, a flamingo outing, a night tour, a Caspian cruise, wine tasting and a shopping day.

Further out: Gobustan and the mud volcanoes, Sheki, Gabala, Guba and Khinalig, Lahij, Lankaran and Lerik, the Shirvan national park safari and an alpaca farm.

For walkers and climbers: Garanohur lake, Laza and Mujug waterfalls, Duruja, Toraghay and Bazarduzu, the highest peak of Azerbaijan.

Longer trips run from 2 to 5 days, including horseback routes around Gabala.

Every guide speaks English and Russian; some tours also run in Turkish or Azerbaijani, and a few in Arabic or Hebrew.

Day tours can be cancelled for a full refund until a day before the start; multi-day tours until three days before departure, because hotels are reserved in advance.
