Band Booster IELTS provides one-to-one, online IELTS and General English coaching, held over Google Meet. Every session is taught by the same teacher, Mike, who holds a Cambridge CELTA (2017) and has over 12 years of English and IELTS teaching experience in Vietnam, Turkey, and Iran, including current teaching at Newton Grammar School in Hanoi. Coaching covers Listening, Reading, Writing (Task 1 & 2), and Speaking (Parts 1-3), plus General English. Students receive feedback during each session and written progress notes afterward. A 30-minute trial session is available for first-time students, with sessions recordable on request.
Band Booster IELTS is a one-to-one, online IELTS and General English coaching service based in Hanoi, Vietnam. Every session is taught personally by the same teacher, Mike — there is no rotating team of tutors. Mike holds the Cambridge CELTA (July 2017) and has more than 12 years of experience teaching English and IELTS across Vietnam, Turkey and Iran, having taught at nine schools in three countries. He currently teaches 250 students across 10 classes at Newton Grammar School in Hanoi, alongside this one-to-one coaching, and has personally taught over 500 individual sessions. His own IELTS result is 7.5 overall, with 8.5 in Speaking.
Sessions run live over Google Meet and can cover any part of the IELTS test — Listening, Reading, Writing (Task 1 and Task 2, marked against the public band descriptors), and Speaking (Parts 1 through 3, run in the real test format with feedback given in the moment) — as well as General English for students who need conversation practice, pronunciation work, job-interview preparation, presentations, or work email. Feedback is given during the session itself rather than returned days later, and written progress notes are added to the student's account after each session. Sessions can be recorded on request.
Booking is done from a live calendar shown in the student's own timezone, so students anywhere in the world can book a slot that fits their schedule. In Vietnam, a 60-minute regular session is 500,000 VND, a 30-minute trial session (available once, on a student's first booking) is 150,000 VND, and General English is 450,000 VND per hour. Booking 6 or more regular sessions together in a single order gives 10% off, available once per student on their first qualifying order. Students outside Vietnam see prices automatically converted to their own currency. Payment is by PayPal, Vietnamese bank transfer (VietQR), or USDT — the site never sees or stores card details. Sessions can be rescheduled free of charge up to 12 hours in advance, and there is no subscription or package to commit to.
Results students have reported back include improving from 6.0 to 7.5 overall, 5.5 to 7.0 in Writing, and 6.5 to 8.0 in Speaking. No specific band score is ever promised — progress depends on each student's starting point and the work done between sessions.
