The Sentient Home is a more personal approach to interior design focusing on how your home supports your nervous system and daily rhythm of life; creating homes that improves the way you sleep, think, move, recover and connect, making your home more comfortable and aligned with the way you want to live from day to day. I combine interior design with environmental psychology and neuroscience to understand how a home affects
The Sentient Home looks at the relationship between you and your home environment.
The goal is not to make your home conform to a particular design style. It is to make your home work better for you.
There is no single environment that works equally well for everyone. The same bright, open room that feels energising to one person can feel exhausting to another.
That might mean a bedroom that's finally easy to switch off in, a busy family home that feels less overwhelming, a difficult room with a flow that finally makes sense, a home office that actually supports concentration, or a newly acquired home in France that finally feels like yours.
It is a more personal approach to interior design powered by a framework that puts you at the center.
For a full, personalised strategy across the whole home, I use my NeuroDesign Blueprint™, based on your sensory characteristics, lifestyle and what your home actually needs to do for you.
For smaller or more specific needs, I also offer focused consultations and one-off interventions, no full redesign required: rest and recovery spaces, reducing visual and sensory overload, better light, easier everyday flow, materials chosen for comfort as well as look, or adapting a home as your needs change.
This includes helping clients:
- create homes that support better rest and recovery;
- reduce unnecessary sensory and visual demands;
- make spaces easier and more intuitive to use;
- improve the relationship between natural and artificial light;
- create environments that support concentration and mental clarity;
- improve spatial flow and everyday functionality;
- choose materials and finishes with comfort and performance in mind;
- adapt a home to changing needs and ways of living;
- develop a coherent environmental strategy across the home.
Consultations run remotely or in person across Île-de-France and select parts of France, starting at €150.
