Dual Employment

Hi all!

I am looking for your guidance; it would be very helpful.

A friend of mine is a teacher currently employed in an international school in Riyadh. He has been offered an online job from the UK. This means he will work from home during the evening for the UK job and continue teaching in the school here.

Is this legally allowed?

I am aware that you are not allowed to take a second job in Saudi Arabia without the approval of your sponsor. However, in this case, the employment opportunity is in a different country, and not within Saudi Arabia.

I am also aware that many take a leave from their employment in their home countries before coming to work here in the Kingdom, technically still staying employed from the other company in their homecountry but staying on leave.

I really need good legal advice swiftly. Any guidance would be very appreciated.
