Employment in Netherlands

Hi All,

I will be moving to the Netherlands this September. What kind of documents do employers in Netherlands ask for before they get you on board?

Here in the Philippines employers would usually ask for certificate of employment ( from previous employers), college diploma etc.

Because right now I am trying to get all the documents I need to bring in NL

thank you

Hi again.

Copies of relevant qualifications are important, particularly if the job is regulated and depends on it.  If they are in another language other than Dutch, English, German or French, then you will need to have them translated and notarised.

The most important thing you need to do is register with the Gemeente (within 5 working days); when you do that, you will get your BSN number; you won't get a job without it.

Other Forum members have informed us that appointments with the Gemeente can take up to a month, so make sure you have enough money to see you over that.

Hope this helps.
