Temp Visa or Permanent Visa questions

Also trying to accomplish this by Sep 2019.

I believe the income amounts just changed.  I found all the info on the MXN consulate www site.   

I recall the old amounts were the pension needs to be about $1500 per month and if including a spouse or children an additional $500 each.  If you aren't married then she would have to qualify on her own at the higher amount.

Do you speak Spanish? because the Government can provide less user-friendly information also.
Some things have changed for 2019. The government site is less user-friendly for one thing and the airlines are no longer providing visa apps on the planes.  Here is another link from the area you seem to be interested in, which just happens to be the area I live in.

I recieved my permanet status by going directly to the local consulate office. At the time the requirment was to show bank statements for last 6 months showing 2k income per month or 85k savings account. Once you get your visa, you must travel to Mexico and go to the imigration office with the papers you recieved. You must wait for the return papers in mexico before you caN leave mexico. That can take a month or more.
