I am a non-EU citizen but I have lived in the Netherlands long enough to get a permanent residence card through EU law. I now have the card and it's valid for 5 years.
My husband who is an EU citizen (not Dutch) got into a study programme outside of the EU so we plan to leave for one year.
How can I maintain my residence in the Netherlands and still accompany my husband while he studies?
Can you loose your permanent residence?

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
I've just checked the IND website and there is nothing there that says you can't do what you wish to do. However, recent experience has shown us that the IND can sometimes make contradictory decisions; my advice is to contact the IND and ask them, the contact details are on their website.
