I have a friend living in Newzealand and she's a smoker. We have these hand rolled strong tabacco cigarretes in Brazil and I was wondering if I could send them through the Mail? Do they tax this type of imports ou just don't let them through?

The cigarettes would be subject to a check by customs and immigration due to the possibility of containing any diseases or viruses.
The fact that they are hand rolled also increase the chances of them being destroyed.
Personally I would not bother.
