Uber hacked 57m people affected

News is reporting that Uber was hacked over a year ago and hid the fact. Both riders and drivers informatikn stolen. They claim no credit card info was stolen.

You'd notice duff credit card transactions but what about all the data they mine from your phone?
That's worth a fortune on its own.
Then we come onto them hiding the loss showing they aren't worthy of trust.
I won't put invasive apps on my phone and I recommend everyone dump them.

According to the BBC version of this story, this is the second issue and the second time they've deliberately broken the law by failing to report the problem.

Sorry but I don't trust them. taking your details from your phone, this and as Fred has posted 2nd time?

They kept it quiet and paid the hackers $100,000?

I rest my case
