My overseas bank debit cards are linked to checking accounts but also say Visa on them. Yet they're not credit cards. When I tried to use them in the bank ATM today, there were only four choices and none of them seemed correct:
savings
credit
default
current
Nothing about checking accounts. Does anyone know the protocols to follow here? I called one of the banks back home and even their service department didn't have a clue except to say he didn't "think" that "savings" was the right choice. None of my attempts went through but none of the cards are blocked.
Thanks!
Jane
