Hi I am looking for some advice for an Iranianfriend who is currently living in Tehran.
He is due to finish Med school next year and really wants to move to the UK to live & work as he hates being in Iran and is very unhappy there with his circumstances.
Does anyone have any advice on the best process to follow for getting a visa (how, type, process etc) and what he might need to do to be able to work and stay here? Also how long this process may take?

Two issues, if a young person wants to develop himself and grow, the best opportunity is to get a student visa and benefit from one of the best education in the UK.
The second part of your question is more disturbing. One is upset and unhappy about the environment and system he has inherited , you need to evaluate that changes in culture, religious habits, language will be an uphill struggle for a new comer.
