Passport for minor in Philippines accompanied by dad mom is abroad.

hello everybody,

i would to ask everyone her about minor passport in the philippines. My daughter she is 6 years old and i am planning to reunite with her here abroad, but i was wondering if her biological dad can come with her in the DFA to do the process? Anyway, my daughters dad is married aswell with other woman and i am a residence abroad and married too, but my daughters dad agreed to give the parental consent to me as the mother of our daughter. is it possible this process? and what is the documents my daughters dad need to have off to the dfa office. thank you for your answer.

i think you should go to the DFA official website for this,,they have all the answers to ur questions, list of proper documents u will need, this is a legal matter and only  DFA office can answer ur questions.goodluck  www.dfa.gov.ph

Hello violet,
I haved check to the site already and i know - the checklist that they required. But only thing is dfa dont have any email adress where u can write to them. Just thought that dfa requires married contract between us and we are not even married if the dad will escort my daughter. But thanks anyway.. :)

hi,so u have been to the official website but,,have you or ur child;s father tried?if he was the one with ur  child here in the Philippines then he should be the one to apply ur child for a passport.whatever they will be  asked to submit for ur child to get a passport.the DFA personell /authorized people will surely tell him and they can always ask them how and where to get it ,if ur child's father doesn't know where and how to get them, you just always have to ask if  u don't understand or being confused, and the best people to ask are those in that office. There will always be someone to assist you once you stepped in their office.its better you ask than to guess or speculate bec somebody told this or that.Nothing wrong in asking and asking the right people..Good luck..let ur childs father do the inquiring / asking, coz if he is the one here.Im sure its very to get ur child   passport now,coz ive tried it before with my niece but that a diff case coz im just an aunt, and all i need was a special power of attorney.duly notarized and and some dswd consent coz she was a minor and im neither the parent.never be afraid or be shy to ask.

Thank you again, yes, i am doing it now. Its just happen that my daughters dad is blind and it is hard for him to travel even. But, when it talks about docs i am sure he can provide. I guess it will work out fine since he is the father, ofcourse at some point i am the mother at the end the sole costudy will be unto me. I take a note of your response :)

i didnt know that he is blind..anyways,it should be easier now to get ur child a passport,,everything is online now...the application form and appointment system.no more waiting in  long lines.it will all be done  in less than an hour if u have all the required documents.Good luck and God bless!
