Opening : - Key Account Manager – Kenya. (Regional Manager Position)

Job Description: -
Under the supervision of the VP - KAM and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the KAM is primarily responsible for generating sales orders for all company products and services, and approved 3rd party products, from Celtel subsidiaries worldwide.
Key Account Manager will be responsible for direct sales orders and through OEM channels as long as either the installation is located in Celtel subsidiary, or is hosted solution located outside these locations but wholly serving the operator.  The sales orders will either be one time license sales, old or new revenue share agreement. 
Determine the proper amount of pre and post sales support required and coordinate these items with Head of Pre-Sales and VP Delivery Program Management and Support.  Provide early warnings of operational delivery or support problems.
Provide on a bi-weekly basis, or as otherwise directed, accurate and reliable sales forecasts in the established format that identify sales for the current and following quarter.  Use forecast data from appropriate software tool and actual booking data from Finance to compile the report.  Attend bi-weekly company wide sales forecast conference call to present weekly report.
Serve as a source of market intelligence on competitive activities, their sales, pricing, products, promotions, strategies, tactics, personnel, etc.
The KAM will work closely with Regional Sales Heads outside South Africa and Kenya, Head Channel Partner Sales, Head SBUs, Head PreSales, Marketing, Legal and Finance.
 
Educational Qualification: -
Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing, Engineering/ Electronics or equivalent.

Skills Required: -
Total 8 – 12 years of experience into Telecom industry sales / Business Development.
At least 3 - 6years sales experience in selling large value (>US$500k) network infrastructure solutions or VAS products to the mobile communications industry and managing sales teams.
Have a proven record of selling network infrastructure solutions in Celtel or any operator.
Currently working in Kenya or have working experience in Kenya.
Strong English verbal and written skills, other African languages and Arabic an advantage
Good awareness of different cultures/leadership styles.  Must relate well to customer contact.
Travel required (50%)
 

Desired Work Experience: -

·Total 8 – 12 years experience of telecom industry / Mobile communications industry in sales.
·At least 3 – 6 years experience in selling VAS products & services in telecom / mobile communications industry.
·Must have worked in Kenya for at least 3 years.

Job Location: - Kenya.

Salary: - Negotiable
