Moving to NYC - buying second hand furniture - New York forum

Dear group,

I will move to NYC as of May 2016. As apartments are normally unfurnished I will have to buy a lot of furniture. I guess other expats leaving NYC sell their stuff again after only a few months/ years. Do you know of a way to match this? Is there a place/ forum/ chat where you can find out about second hand furniture and buy it cheaply?

You may drop an advert in the New York Classifieds and also subscribe to the latter to be notified whenever there are new items for sale.

You can also google 'Craiglist New York' for other sales classifieds in New York.
