Those are not unrelated issues. The "western/eastern" mindset and the "Hungarian" mindset, in my experience, are often not compatible.

As per my experience there is no Hungarian mindset and estern/western mindset. But... you know yourself and you know pretty well who you are interested about. Im interested about asians, not all asians because for example see how much different a filipino and a chinese can be. I have been staying in Hungary for about 24 years and abroad for about 5 years been in touch with asian community, so I know very well who I like more. Most of asians are loyal, honest and caring thats what Im missing in most of hungarians, Im hungarian and love my country so I can say that...

I understand the loyal thing with Hungarians, sadly.
My son was set on marrying a HU women since he  is/was so proud to be half Hungarian through his father although he has German and Ruysn roots on my side.
He married a HU lady in Hungary and she was so terrible to him once they moved back to the US and all her paperwork to stay was set.
Hurt him to the bone.Won't get into it much but I will just say a large casino in Las Vegas where I had gotten her a job later put a ban on all hiring of Hungarians due to her rude nature and mean side, that's saying allot here in Vegas.
Now after years of dating only Asian women( not interested in the wild American cocktail waitresses who liked him in Vegas)he has settled on wife no. 2 from a small city in Japan. He even went to Japan to make sure he was not making another mistake in a mate.
Loyal to the bone and sweet as can be, happy at last.
He dated Korean and Cinese ladies and we met them all, each was sweet in their own way and all treated us better as his girlfriend then his Hungarian wife ever did. She was a mean one for sure...
Sad because all my husbands relations are Hu and most are ladies, they have a mean streak in them too however.
