We are a Canadian couple looking to open a small guesthouse in Sri Lanka preferrably in the south east coast near a beginner to intermediate surf break. Do you have any suggestions as to up and coming areas that we should look at while we travel there? Any information as well as prices and things we should beware of would be apreciated. Best place would be Unawatuna-galle , I been to many hotels there own by foreigners , its not an easy task to give an idea with regards to pricing, best is to visit there and stay and find out without any agents , to be frank property brokers are not the same type as you find in canada , so better to search by your own
