Hi Cicili,
Well, personnally I've never been there. But I did read quite a number of books about traveling in Afghanistan, what I would say is I definitely won't go there for backpacking, even I got a squad of soldier to watch my back (which I don't)
Anyway, there is a book written by a female journalist: "Our women in Kabul", the book should be able to give you some insight view of female traveling in Afghanistan.
