We are exploring leaving the u.s. and we have read that France is one country welcomes people from elsewhere. This is my (our)first step in finding out if the move is what will meet our expectations. I'm retired and my wife is soon to retire and for many reasons we want out of the u.s. Although I am retired I keep busy.

I invite you to ask questions if you have any so as to better prepare your expatriation. France is a bit expensive country however, compared to many other destinations.

thanks you for your reply. We're early on on making a decision on what to do. We are coming over mid September to visit Rouenne, Lille and Paris. If I were to pick areas where other expats are, I considering Provence and Brittany. Perhaps your team may know of expats not necessarily from the us, but areas which are known to have enclaves of people from elsewhere. Thank you for your response and I await your reply.
