Hey!

Magic Jack is working perfectly fine for now.
You can make and receive calls via Magic Jack.

For testing purpose, you could use the MJ software (which can be downloaded) on your PC.

Hope this solves your query.

I initially used Magic Jack, too, and you can receive incoming calls on the US number you chose.  However, I've stopped using it due to the low quality of the calls (interference, lag, disconnects). 

I now use the Skype option where I can call phones in the US and the quality is very good (and it's only about $6 per month for unlimited calling).
