Best Visa Situation if returning to US every 2 months?

Can anyone advise on the optimal visa scenario if trips to the US every 2 months are needed? My understanding is that you can only get 2 90 day tourist visas in your passport per year..

Is this true??

You shouldn't have any problem obtaining temporary visas to spend at least 9 months of a 12 month consecutive period in Ecuador.

So then it gets back to Mugtech's question about how long you plan to stay in U.S. during those trips.

Absences From the Country

The resident visas outlined below will grant you permanent residency. That means you'll be allowed to come and go from Ecuador as you wish. However, you can't be absent from the country for more than 90 days per year during the first two years of your residency, nor more than 18 consecutive months after your second year of residency.
