causeway yearly permit ?

Is there such a thing as a causeway permit ? I heard you can pay yearly or monthly to cross the causeway which is much cheaper than paying per trip.

No monthly or yearly, but 50 trip pass. So instead of 1000 SAR for those 50 trips you pay 850, which makes it 17 rial per trip. there is a little building in the middle of the parking lot on Saudi side, where McDonalds, bank and Kudu are, and you get it from there. First you need to go to bank, pay for it and bring receipt before they issue you a card. They open from 8:30 but bank opens from 9.
You can get Bahrain insurance for a year, it cost 600 SAR, while monthly one cost 130 SAR.

there is also a special card for students studying in a different country from where they live, and people with handicap .. you. get access to a special lane and 50% disscount on fees .. however I think this card is for citizens
