Driving license in Vietnam

Hi all,

Can a foreigner take the driving test in Vietnam?

What are the formalities to get a driver's licence in Vietnam?

Do you need special or extra documents being an expatriate?

How much does it cost?

Thank you for participating ;).

This horse has been flogged to death here. Use the search feature!

Given he is part of the forum team and has posted on many threads. We can only assume he's trying to collate the information for others and not for himself.

This should help

I think he is trying to stimulate some action 9n this forum.

His boss does the same thing.

Be nice Jaitch or the'll take your EB member+ status away.

Plenty of threads on here without the need to artificially stimulate threads on here or any of the other forums the same question has been asked on.

Can't argue with that statement LBF, your right.

Hi all,

These questions are meant to help future expatriates to find basic infos in one single thread.
They might also help new members who don't know how or hesitate to ask questions on the forum.

Thanks for your help anyway.

Hi Armand,

I do not think it's necessary to take a driving test in Vietnam since you already have a driving license in your country.

My manager had her driving license issued in Korea localized easily. It's not a big deal.

0. Make sure you will prepare 2 copies for your documents

1. Have the license translated into Vietnamese then notified

2. Download the application form at :

www.mt.gov.vn/uploads/File/cchc/docs/du … ucdbvn.doc

(Everything is explained quite clearly there)

3. Ask some local interpreter for further explanation.

I hope this help you.

Regards,

Nhung
