Buyukada is the biggest island of Istanbul..And also named as Big island, It is a summer escape, it is colorful and it is peaceful...

When you reach to Buyukada by the ferry, you will be surprised with the silence of the island and the colorful houses.. Buyukada has many many nice houses.. While you are touring in the island, you will have hard time to choose the best looking one.. Each road you pass you will spot another and better one..

1)I dont know what makes Buyukada so beatiful.. is that the harmony of flowers or the harmony of houses with the flowers..Or the wonderful landscape..
2)Büyükada consists of two peaks. The one nearest to the iskele (ferry landing), İsa Tepesi (meaning Jesus Hill in Turkish), formerly Hristos, the Greek name for Jesus
Christ), is topped by the former Greek Orphanage, a huge wooden building now in decay. In the valley between the two hills sit the church and monastery of Ayios Nikolaos and a former fairground called Luna Park.

The Aya Yorgi Church at the top of the hill is of particular importance for both Christians and Muslims. No one knows whether it is actually true or just a myth, but they say that if you unravel a roll of thread as you walk to the church on top of the hill, your wish will come true:))
3)The Greek Orthodox Patriarchate reclaimed the 19th-century orphanage on Büyükada, the largest of the Prince's Islands at Marmara Sea, on Monday after it was granted back to the community by the European Court of Human Rights.

for which day is that again Asethi ?
