How mostly peoples celeberates new year in Denmark ..........

usually people get together with friends and drink a lot. at least, that is how i have seen it unfold in copenhagen. the past few years i have spent it in the company of almost exclusively danes. first we watch the queen's new year speech on TV, then we eat dinner (we each brought a dish to share, i don't know if this is typical), and we proceed to get very drunk. at midnight we go out to dronning louises bridge since the party takes place in nørrebro. there are lots of fireworks being shot off at that point by young children, usually with no protective eyewear. then you go back to the party and get more drunk.

do you celebrate it differently?
