There are thousands of dentists in Thailand. There are streets with dentists wall to wall. Avoid tourist locations like Phuket,Pattaya and downtown Bangkok because that's where it's most expensive.

yeh I understand, but doesn't answer my question

Avoid the dentist with Gold caps when he Smiles and his office is outside under a Tree .

Like Leeds says there are many many here. When in country just go to a few in

non-tourist areas and ask their prices. In Phuket I'm sure it's more here but

expect to pay 1200 - 1500 for a cleaning

Avoid Tourists Areas. Try visits within Pathum Thani - Rangsit Areas.Very many Options

You can also go to any private hospital. Good service. Prices may be different according the hospital chosen. Prices are about 50% of those in France.

There are plenty of good dentists in Thailand and many bad ones. Do you know what you need treated. I can give you names of a few

Hello @Jason Henderson,

Here is a specific recommendation for you:

I recommend: VP Dental Clinic, Bangna, Bangkok.

I have been many times.

Very clean, well-organized, careful customer service.

Modern equipment.

One day I had severe pain in one tooth

Called and asked how soon I could see a dentist.

The head dentist (owner of the clinic) himself got on the phone and said,

"My last patient today will be finished about 7:00 pm.

If you can come in then, I will wait for you."

Good service, eh?

Head dentist is a "dental surgeon", so can do serious procedures, implants, etc.

He speaks very good English, but none of the other dentists speak English.

They think they do, but not so.

Reception staff same.

So be prepared for some "language barrier".

Udom Suk Road is the same street as Sukhumvit 103 -- just two different names.

Clinic is right at the corner of soi 33, street level entrance.

Nearest skytrain station "Udom Suk", but too far to walk, so use taxi or motocycle taxi.

I just looked at my receipt for one surface composite filling: 800 baht, about US$ 25.

Does not take cash, only bank cards or Online bank transfer.

@bratstvo offers very good advice about dental clinics in private hospitals.

Friend visiting as a tourist had a dental problem.

I took him to the dental clinic in BNH hospital in central city Bangkok.

Saw a dentist immediately (no waiting) and said he was happy with the treatment.

Also, YanHee hospital dental clinic in Bangkok is open 24 hours.

I went there only once ... during normal hours ... for routine teeth cleaning.

Dentist rushed thru the procedure and then sat down to "sell" me a "pre-paid plan"

for frequent cleanings.

I didn't buy and I didn't like the approach, but if serious pain in the middle

of the night, I would go to YanHee hospital again.

@Grapagoda

Hi can you please recommend a good dentist specialising in root canal treatment and crown. I started the RCT in Australia and hoping to finish it in Bangkok as well as getting crown done there too. Thanks.

Bangkok hospital ..I have tried others over past years...independent and a hospital.terrible experience..go to Bangkok hospital.

If you decide..let me know..will give name of my dentist..cheers
