Study part-time with a Highly Skilled Immigrant (HSM) Visa in NL

Hello!

I just want to know if it's possible to study part-time (a master's degree at a recognized university), but at the same time work as a Highly Skilled Migrant in the Netherlands.

I would assume that, if it's a part-time degree, there wouldn't be a lot of checks or permissions, since studying would not be my main occupation.

Thanks a lot.

I suspect not; student visas limit the total hours you can work to 16 hours p/week,  However, this is a limit for a full-time course, if yours is part-time, then perhaps you can get around it.  HSM visas are agreed upon between the employer and IND, my advice is to ask your potential employer to enquire with their IND contact.

I actually send an email about this to IND. I am non-EU and I would need a work permit to work during studies and that can only be max 16 hours. I am not sure if that is the case for EU citizens too but I think not. I saw examples of non-EU students working at their universities though which is what I will try.
