Hello dear,
Iam working in a company in oman as a sales executive. Now 6 months. Due to high pressure i submitted my resignation letter to company before 1 and half month. They told before they will release me on December first week. But now they didn't release me and ask to continue for one more month. If i complaint to ministry of manpower can i go to my country immediately?? Please help me

Hi Sreejithsiva,

The minimum notice period which an employee has to give the employer is one-month.

However, if your appointment letter specifies something else, then that specified period has to be met.

So see what your employment contract says. If you have met that requirement, then your employer cannot force you to stay back.

Before you go to the Ministry of Manpower, go first to the Indian Embassy and state your concerns. They will assist you accordingly.
