I ask for those familiar with bucharest about the safe places to meet people as friends and possibly more. Its not the same as in US. Maybe i am getting older and things have changed.

It is the same old problem. There is no special place to meet singles , but you can attend pubs, restaurants and so on. Good luck

As in any place, go to an area that has people in it, never leave drinks unattended, tell friends and family where you're going.
Local pubs are generally good to visit...
