Try checking out learnenglish.ph it's an established school that handles a lot of expats and diplomats as well.

I enrolled my American husband at Christian Language Study Center to learn Tagalog. It's near Quezon Avenue in Quezon City. Try checking it out.
I really wasn't comfortable with having a private tutor. I think it's always better to deal with an established organization, or their employee who can do one-on-one tutoring, rather than an individual.
