Hi,

I`m looking for English speaking expat communities in Japan.

I am thinking of living and working in Tokyo and would like to see what kind of support/social networks are available in the Tokyo area.

Can anyone suggest such a group. It would be interesting to see what king of lives expats have in Japan before I make the big move.

Lots of areas and groups in Tokyo. The best areas to find foreign nationals are Hiroo, Azabu Juban, Akasaka, Roppongi, Shirokane Takanawa, Kichijoji, Shimo Kitazawa and Jyugaoka.

When I first arrived in Japan (3 years ago), I joined a facebook networking group found here or here and made quite a few friends I still hang out with today.

There are lots of different groups in Tokyo through Meetup.com. All you have to do is look up the city, and all available groups for any interest pop up.

I also host parties every month to meet new people and connect others for business or fun.
