English dramatist JB Priestley’s famous thriller An Inspector Calls will be staged in Malta in March 2019 by MADC.
The classic play centres around the prosperous upper middle-class Birling family, in a three-act drama that takes place on a single night in April 1912 in the fictional town of Brumley. When the mysterious Inspector Goole visits to question the family about the suicide of a working-class woman named Eva Smith, also known as Daisy Renton, it becomes clear that all is not what it first appears…
Directed by Michael Mangion and featuring a stellar cast of local performers including Edward Thorpe, Isabel Warrington, Roberta Cefai, Edward Caruana Galizia, Gianni Selvaggi, Samantha Gauci and John Marinelli, this new and exciting production will be a faithful yet fresh adaptation of a thrilling, classic tale.
