Indo Czech Autumn Festival is the cultural event coinciding with India’s one of the largest and Bengal’s largest ceremony and feast Durga Puja, interconnecting distanced, but at the heart very close cultures.
The festival is visited by Indian community based in Czech & abroad, Czechs and all lovers of Indian culture from Czech Rep. and abroad.
The aim of the festival is to acquaint visitors with not only Indian traditional, spiritual and classical music and dance, but also with traditional rituals, almost unseen & inexperienced to the West and to unify many Indian art forms in one platform.
Indo Czech Autumn Fest, being a brainchild of an Indian painter, poet, singer and versatile personality Papia Ghoshal is completely secular and nonreligious, though the customs & rituals are celebrated in their most authentic way, according to Indian tradition.
At the same time, yoga and a rich selection of tea is on offer.
As every year, our event will be enriched by Indian and Bangladeshi restaurants with their tasty snacks.
We believe, that this cultural amalgamation of the east and the west is becoming more and more relevant with the growing migration and identity crisis in EU in the recent years.
This coming October 2019, we desire to dedicate this festival to the world beloved father, Mahatma Gandhi, to celebrate the 150th year of his birth anniversary in the Czech Republic.
