Iron Savannah is returning for its 3rd year this 16th-17th November to the stunning savannahs of Maili Tisa, Namanga.
The two-day event invites guests to camp out at the foot of the Black Hills for a relaxed evening of food and traditional entertainment from local Maasai. On Sunday 17th the camp will rise early for a quick breakfast before heading off on either a 5, 10.5 or 21km wild run.
The run will take you through remote Maasai villages with breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro and surrounding areas.
This year, we also invite you to take part in an additional challenge! On Saturday morning, we are inviting keen cyclists to participate in a ride along the picturesque route, either from Bisil (40km) or Kitengela (115km) to our camp in Namanga. You can then choose to relax and enjoy the weekend or, if you're feeling determined, you can also join other participants in the 5, 10.5 or 21km run.
If you want to challenge yourself to run, or take part in an adventurous cycle ,whilst supporting refugee education in Kenya, then this is the event for you.
Not a runner or a cyclist? Not a problem! There will be entertainment for all the family including nature walks, star gazing, bonfires and games.
Price breakdown:
Cycle ride ONLY
Includes cycle ride with experienced guides, water and refreshments on arrival - 3000 KSH
Camping ONLY
Includes an afternoon of activities and an evening of entertainment with dinner (there will be a bar open to buy drinks for an additional cost) - 3000 KSH
Run ONLY
Includes a light refreshment before the run, brunch after the run - 3000KSH
TWO of the above activities - 5000KSH
All THREE activities - 6000KSH
