Hello,

I am hoping to move to Nice the end of the month from London and wondered if someone could help me with regards to getting a social security number so I am able to work legally in France.

Hi Jules !

This is a really good question you ask, that even a lot of teenagers in France don't know the answer (cause it's so bad explained !!).

To get your own Social Security Number, you have to go to "CPAM" (= Caisse Primaire d'Assurance Maladie) of Nice and ask for it. If your french isn't very good, try to find someone in this office who speaks english (hope for you there is one...).
They will ask for your "titre de séjour" and they will tell you what you need to give them to obtain your card and your number...

If you don't have an answer quickly, don't hesitate to go there again and again to ask for your number (they work better with pressure ).
