Hello 
I am planning to go across Cambodia and Laos with my motorbike (I'll have Vietnamese plates).
I know that between Cambodia and Laos there is only one borders crossing in Veun Kham.
Did anyone have ever tried to cross this border with Vietnamese motorbike? Can I ask for any hints?

Try this site www.gt-rider.com. Info there about motorbikes crossing into Laos. Not sure about Vietnamese plates.
They have a forum which you can join and ask the question.

Hi, I tried to cross this border from Laos to Cambodia with vietnamese number plate motorbike in January 2018. I was not allowed to cross this border. You have to go first to Vietnam and from Vietnam to Cambodia. There is no other way, how to do it. There is no problem to cross the border between Laos and Vietnam and between Vietnam and Cambodia. Good luck.
