Saudi job offer with 3 months probation period

Hello everyone,

Need help to understand whether job offer with 3 months probation period is considerable?
And contract and work visa would be finalized later .....
Need to know is this the normal way to start in saudi....

As i have to leave current job for above offer. Is it worthy?

The three months probation period is a common and legal practice in Saudi Arabia. As far as your contract is concerned your contract is valid from the moment you arrive and join the work.  Certain benefits might be excluded/ or included( check your contract!).

Good luck.

Thanks Adam,
However as mentioned in offer letter, contract will be made after probation period.
And both parties are free to discontinue within this period without any responsibility..

Is it be ok as well... Pl guide...

The key point here is that any party may discontinue the contract without any penalties or obligation.  However, you are going to be paid during this period. Normally an employer will not go thru all the complicated hiring /visa procedures unless he is serious about hiring you, or better to say keeping you! hence, it's your responsibility to make sure before joining the company that you have what it takes for the job. You must really understand what they are looking for, and what are their expectations. Answering all these queries will help you avoid unexpected outcomes or disappointment.

Thanks Adam,
You are correct....!

It might be a project that gets over in 3 months and they need a guy to finish the job. Tell them you'll only join on a proper contract for 2/3 years

you are welcome.
