Dear All,

Does anyone know a place in Istanbul where one can fish? And also any shops where one can get fishing equipment, nothing major.

All across Bosphorus. Literally. I'd be really surprised if you havent seen people fish everywhere as yet.
I usually get my equipment from Decathelon, but they would be available in local sport stores near your area too.

Thank you. I have seen people fish but have not paid much attention if they really got any decent fish.

Is Buyukcekmece a good place to fish?

I would think so. I havent been there other than passing by one the road a couple of times a year or so ago. It would be a good idea to walk along the seaside or the lake and take a look.
