In the equivalent thread on the Hungary forum I stated that my main mistake was the actual decision to live in Hungary. In hindsight I would have moved to Croatia in 2011 instead of Hungary. I did not consider Croatia at that time as it was not in the EU but as I will not be an EU citizen much longer anyway that will become irrelevant.
