Hello
Am here in Cyprus forum to ask question about travel and tourist visa to Cyprus
My friend is Ukrainian working in Istanbul, can she apply for visa while she in Istanbul and buy flight ticket from Istanbul to Cyprus ?
Any help will be highly appreciated
Thank you so much

https://www.timaticweb.com/cgi-bin/tim_ … B2CTurkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TTNC / Turçiye: Kuze Kibriş) is the Turkish part of the eastern Mediterranean island of Cyprus, divided between Turkey and Greece since the late–20th century while south falls under the EU and is known as, the Republic of Cyprus, a part of European Union.

For an Ukrainian Traveller visiting the Northern part of Cyprus, yes it is possible to travel without a VISA from Turkey to Kibris. Visa on arrival is applicable for Ukrainian Citizens travelling to Northern part of Cyprus. She may opt for, Turkish Airlines or Atlas Jet which flies directly from Istanbul to Ercan (ECN) and is scheduled, daily.

To travel to the Southern Part of the Cyprus or the EU Zone, she may opt for Airlines such as, Lufthansa which flies with a stopover to Larnaca (LCA) from Istanbul. She would transit via EU however and may need a Schengen Visa beforehand. The cost of a Trabsit visa is 1688+ rubles and she may apply for one, in Kiev.

Please be noted that, Schengen visa for Ukraine citizens is also issued at a very high rejection rate compared to any other nation in the world at 3.4 percent as per 2015 statistics.

Some good news for Ukraine Schengen visa applicants is that the recent decision by the European union to remove the requirement for Schengen visa for Ukraine citizens. But until then, it remains an enigma for Ukrainian citizens.

Regarding visas for Ukrianian Citizens traveling to the EU Zone (The South Cyprus / Republic of Cyprus) from Ukraine can opt for the Pro - Visa. For more information about the same, visit, https://www.timaticweb.com/cgi-bin/tim_ … user=GFB2C

Hope this helps.
Cheers and wish her a great cypriot journey ahead.
