Hi,

As an expat living in Chile, what would you advise the ones about to pack to bring along?

What are the items you can easily find in Chile? On the other hand, what is less common or quite expensive?

Share with us what you would recommend to bring in one's suitcase or container when moving to Chile.

A major problem for us has been shoes. I wear size 11 womens shoes (41-42 euro size) and I cannot find any in all of Chile. My son wears size 13-14 mens ( 46-47 Euro) and they don't sell much over 44 here so we have to order from the US and that is always expensive for shipping and taxes.
Another problem is socks and underwear. You just can't find a 6 pack of white cotton athletic socks or hanes cotton briefs.
Though department stores do have a good selection of most other clothes items.
