German work visa for Malaise with Canadian work permit

Hello together! My friend with malaisia citizenship is working in Canada (has a work permit for Canada). Now he is planning to move on short-term assignment to Germany. Due to German immigration rules he needs a German work visa too. The question is: will his German visa cancel his Canada's work permit? As far as know it's not allowed to have 2 visas at the same time.

Thanks in advance for responses!

You cannot have two visa concurrently FOR ONE COUNTRY.
But since national laws are independent of each other, the German authorities will not care about visa for any other country.

Thanks, beppi! You are right, German authorities will not care ))
I just thought that the Canadian limited residence permit (which is concerning to convert later to unlimited residence permit) could exist together with the short-term work visa for Germany.

Why did you ask about a Canadian residence permit on the Germany forum? ButI the Canadian authorities will also not care whether you have any other country's visa.
Of course it might be difficult (but not illegal) to work in Germany and reside in Canada.
