Hello all,

My husband has got a Post doc offer at Utrecht University. His monthly stipend is around EUR 2400. It would be really helpful for us to if we could have answers for the questions below.

1) Tax % for 2400 EUR
3) Information on schooling system (my son is in 5th grade).
I hear that public schools teach only in dutch.
Should our son go to International school or is it easy to cope up in public schools.
If so, What would be the tuition fees.
4) Cost of Room rent
5) Cost of Health Insurance
6) Groceries - just an approx amt would do
7) Info on Indian community
8) Is 2400 EUR sufficient to run a family of 3

Any help is appreciated.

Hi Latha,
Regarding Tax, it depends if your husband is coming as an expat, then he gonna be within the 30% tax ruling. Else he will pay tax as everybody, and for 2400 Euro brutto its gonna be around 1600 Euro Netto.
Room rent in Utrecht is around 700 Euro inclusif.
Health Insurance per person Minimum is as from 90 Euro.
Lots of Indian COmmunity..
Groceries depends of what you like to eat ;-)
