Ques. I want to use Power of attorney method. is it possible for me to avail it.

I am 26 year old and she is 23 years old.

I am Muslim and she is christian.

Hello ashan.khawaja,

It's probably going to be next to impossible for you to obtain a VITUR Tourist Visa for Brazil that would allow you to stay in the country long enough to get through the very complex marriage process. First time visa applicants from India or Pakistan almost never get visas that permit a stay longer than a week or two at the most. The marriage process here (even when ALL the documents are ready and in order) takes at least one month and often even longer than that.

I will give you exactly the same advice that I give to all of your countrymen who ask about marrying here in Brazil....   It is going to be about 100 times easier for your future bride to obtain a visa, come to Pakistan, get married there and register the marriage with the Consulado-Geral do Brasil in Islamabad, than it would be for you to come here and get married.

Cheers,

Regarding the Proxy Marriage - (Casamento por Procuração) not it will not apply to your case since to arrange a proxy marriage BOTH parties must be in Brazil to attend the Cartório (Registry) to sign all the necessary documents. It is really intended for individuals who for some reason will not be available to attend personally on the wedding day, not for those who have never been in Brazil at all.
