I am moving to Barranquilla in January

It's been decided that I will be moving to Barranquilla in January 2015. Can somebody give me some contacts and/or advice on how to find some inexpensive living accommodations for 6 months (I'm assuming that's the maximum length of time I'll be able to stay....as a US citizen).

As for a place to stay, I'll be happy with something basic....a small studio or perhaps even a room. If it might be possible I could rent a room with a family, or perhaps some sort of 'flat-share', I'd be cool with that too.

P.S. Last time I was there was in 2001 and it's always been my dream to go back and see the Carnival. I'm excited about that.
